Description

Edellweiss star known as edelweiss flower. Its name leontopodium alpinum comes from the Greek and means "lion's foot of the alps."

Its habitat extends from our Pyrenees to the Carpathians. Legend has it that one night, a star confessed to the moon that she was envious of everything that lived on earth and that she wanted to leave the sky to become a flower. Consequently, the jilted and angry moon decided to take revenge by sending her to one of the highest mountains on earth. there, the lucky star, bathed by the white blanket of snow, was transformed into one of the most beautiful flowers, with petals the colour of the moon. What I did not know is that finally I would always be alone, almost imperceptible to people, at the top of the mountains.
