From Plan B Jewelry we are going to try to convince you of the importance of practicing this type of consumption and to tell you how we see this matter and to build ETHICAL, RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE crafts. Why does Plan B Jewelry believe that we should support artisans and artisans? The answer seems obvious because we are artisans, some will say, without further ado. That would be the simplest answer, but it is not the correct answer. The purchase of crafts has many implications and the result of that purchase action is definitely a way of thinking. At least we think so. From this way of thinking we are going to try to convince you and make you aware of the value and importance of buying crafts. These are our reasons: 1.- In plan B Jewelry we cannot compete with the big jewelry brands, we play in another league. We play in the sustainable economy league, yes, you read that correctly. Artisans and artisans live on what we create and sell. If you buy from an artisan, the economic movement you generate goes directly to people like us. Do you put a face on us? In our case, Plan B Jewelry uses silver, metals, cuttings, melts, filings, semi-precious stones, baths, ... making a small, clean and environmentally friendly production. On many occasions we use recycling and never industrial production, thus we avoid generating waste and all that it entails. Did I say sustainable? Yes, and it is not by chance, it is a necessity to make this world sustainable and not to go "hell." This would be one of the most powerful reasons we have to convince you. But we have more…. 3.- By buying from an artisan you are supporting human rights. Yes, you read it right. There is no exploitation or violation of human rights in the artisanal world. Labor rights are not violated either. Artisans and artisans are self-employed workers who pay our taxes and contribute to the common good. If we do not pollute, if we are careful with the environment and if we do not exploit workers and contribute with our taxes to the common good, buying products made by hand by artisans can be a powerful alternative to mass production that all consumers ethical and conscious we do not want to continue supporting. Therefore, keep your craft consumption away from the malicious capitalist economy that profits from big business. Yes, I already said it. I was looking forward to it! We have one that we especially like: 4.- Originality: at Plan B Jewelry we are now starting a little adventure with digital jewelry and 3D resin printing processes. An adventure in which we try to find originality in each piece with great effort. It is a path of training and innovation that occupies a large part of our thoughts now. You can ask him the characteristics of his product, he can explain the manufacturing process of his pieces, how he does it, how much time he spends modeling, drawing his pieces, melting them, polishing them. He will be able to explain how a stone is set in a ring, how its metals age, how it uses the different textures, the maintenance and cleaning of the piece you buy. And most importantly, when talking to the artisan or artisan you will realize that the prices of Plan B jewelry, in this case, are fair prices for products that are out of the conventional and overcrowded.
